Barnabas Henry Bartol and Emma Jemima Welchman, Married 08 May 1842, New York City, New York. They had four children, Ellen Kemble Bartol Brazier, Henry Welchman Bartol, Emma "Sita" Teresa Bartol, and George Edward Bartol. Barnabas and Emma traveled many parts of the world and Emma later wrote a travel book about their experiences.

Emma's parents, Jemima (Williams) 1798-1841 and Dr. Edward Welchman 1788-1845, they came to the US from England, she had several siblings that are linked to this memorial.

She was born in Kineton, England and at the time of her death she was 87yrs. 4mos. 11ds. and she was buried 15 Aug 1908.
