Fessler, Anton (June 4, 1844-March 1, 1916 –husband of Lutvina Grotzinger [married Nov. 6, 1871 at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton] –son of Anton Fessler [1812-1897] and Francisca Kunzweiler –born Oberhausen, Freiburg, Baden –arrived in US via New York in Oct. of 1860 –applied for naturalization on Sept. 10, 1874 –farmer in Town of Eaton –on June 8, 1874 purchased the 40 acres of the NE1/4 of the NE1/4 of Section 22, Town of Eaton –this land later became part of his farm centered at 7404 Niles Road in Section 22 –on April 23, 1887 purchased the 40 acres of the SW1/4 of the NE1/4 of Section 22, Town of Eaton and created a farmstead at 7404 Niles Road –sold this farm on Feb. 19, 1904 to Mathias Heinzen –after this sale, the farmstead on this farm was likely razed –died from “diabetes mellitus”) –buried at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton [buried in Section 3, Row 2, Lot 31 –stone] [marriage record Manitowoc 4-54] [death record Manitowoc 13-461]
