Elizabeth Smith, 89, of Rushville, died July 31, 2008.
Born March 9, 1919 in Letcher County, Ky., she was the daughter of Sam Carter and Cordelia Caudill Carter, both deceased. She married Clarence "Shot" Smith Dec. 26, 1967; he preceded her in death April 7, 2008.
Mrs. Smith was a devoted wife and homemaker. She enjoyed flower gardening, quilting and reading during her leisure.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Violet Harrison of Rushville, Medina (Bryan) Scales, Greg (Holly) Harrison, and Steven Harrison, all of Rushville, and Tanya (Bill) Flanigan and Teresa (Dale) McClure of Connersville, all who considered Clarence and Elizabeth as members of their family.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home in Connersville with the Rev. Bill Flanigan officiating.
Burial will follow in Connersville's Dale Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Residents Activity Fund at Flat Rock Lodge or to the First Southern Baptist Church of Falmouth Memorial Fund.
