NELL BARNETT BRANCH
Nell Barnett Branch, age 84, of Pine Branch Road passed away Friday, October 15, 2010 at her residence. A native of Mitchell County, NC she was the daughter of the late Solomon and Victory Griffith Barnett. She was a homemaker and a member of Pigeon Roost Fundamental Brethren Church.
Survivors include: daughter, Pennie Honeycutt of Green Mountain, NC, Wanda Rose of Spruce Pine, NC, sons, Clinton Barnett of Erwin, TN, Gary Barnett of Lenior, NC, Avery Barnett of Spruce Pine, NC, Ricky Barnett of Marion, NC, sister, Mae Hughes of Green Mountain, NC, brother, Iss Barnett of Erwin, TN, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: husbands, George Barnett and James Lawson Branch, daughter, Elsie Adkins, sisters, Lassie Peterson, Pansy Hughes, Sena Hughes, Ann Gouge, brothers, Garther, Calvin, and Ray Barnett.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 8:00PM in the Chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville, NC. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Joe Brown, Ronald Thomas, and Jerry Barnett will be officiating the service. Interment will be Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 11:00AM in the Byrd Cemetery.
