Mae K. Riesterer, age 82, formerly of St. Nazianz, currently residing at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc, died early Thursday morning, Sept. 14, 2006, at the home.

Mae was born Dec. 2, 1923, in the town of Meeme, daughter of the late Anton J. and Mary (Schnell) Schneider. On April 18, 1942, she married Stephen Riesterer at St. Fidelis Church in the town of Meeme. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1997. Mae was a member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church and a member of the Christian Mothers.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law: Randolph and Deborah Riesterer, State College, Pa.; William and Sue Riesterer, Valders; one daughter and son-in-law: Laura and Mark Preston, Kiel; 10 grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; one sister: Genevieve Wagner, Manitowoc; three sisters-in-law: Petronella Schneider, Manitowoc; Evelyn Riesterer, Chilton; Kate Riesterer, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Mae was preceded in death by one son: Thomas Riesterer on March 9, 1996; one grandson: Sean; four brothers-in-law: Mark Wagner; Norbert Schneider; John Riesterer; Herman Riesterer; four brothers: Jerome, Bernard, Henry and Norbert Riesterer; two sisters: Veronica Stahl and Evelyn Florian.

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 18, 2006, at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dan Felton with private family burial to follow at the church cemetery on Tuesday.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, Sept. 18, 2006, at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, St. Nazianz, from 3 p.m. until the time of Mass at 6 p.m.

The Christianson & Deja Funeral Home, is assisting the Riesterer family with funeral arrangements.
