Mrs. Clemence Endries, 70, of St. Nazianz, died Sunday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after suffering a stroke.
Funeral services will be at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at Christianson Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz, the Rev. Gregory Putzer, S.D.S., officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Endries was born Emily Riesterer July 31, 1895, in the Town of Eden, daughter of the late John and Rose Anhalt Riesterer. She attended school at St. Nazianz and was married May 22, 1917, to Mr. Endries at St. Nazianz. The couple farmed in the Town of Meeme until 1949, moving to St. Nazianz. She was a member of the St. Gregory Christian Mothers Society.

Surviving are the husband, three sons, Alphonse of St. Nazianz, Roman of Rt. 4, Manitowoc, and Alfred of Rt. 1, Malone; five daughters, Mrs. Emmet (Loritta) Klusmeyer and Mrs. Henry (Rita) Wilke of Manitowoc, Mrs. Leo (Delorest) Burkart of Rt. 4, Manitowoc, Mrs. Melvin (Jeanette Mueller of Plymouth and Mrs. Leland (Marjorie) Bushman of Rt. 1, Newton; seven brothers, Frank and John of Rt. 4 Chilton, Anton, Herman and Steve of Rt. 1, Kiel, and Peter and Joseph of St. Nazianz; two sisters, Mrs. Lorena Schnell and Mrs. Joseph Schnell of St. Nazianz and 21 grandchildren.

Two brothers preceded her in death.Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
