"Funeral services were held Thursday at the Fertile Lutheran Church for Mrs. Lena Jenkins, 78. Burial was in Brush Point Cemetery with Olson Funeral Home in charge. She died Monday at a Mason City hospital. Surviving are her husband, Frank, Fertile; three daughters and four sons, Mrs. Melvin (Gladys) Wilson, Mrs. Gerald (Geneva) Burtness and Mrs. Silas (Elma) Edwards, all Mason City; Laurance and James Jenkins, both of Fertile; Clyde, Loveland, Colo.; Norman, Forest City; three sisters, Mrs. Martin (Christine) Ouverson, Fertile; Mrs. Elma Elvesether, Hanlontown; Mrs. Walter (Tena) Klein, Mason City; Ed Erickson, Mason City and Gilbert Erickson, Clear Lake; 25 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren."
