Infant son of Dr. George Warren and Christiana Chapman; the styling of the soul effigy and other decorative/symbolic elements of his stele appear to be the work of noted New York City carver John Zuricher--a Tory who fled to this area after American forces retook the City during the American Revolution. The Chapman stele is one of only two with soul effigies to be seen in this churchyard. The other is the recently repaired gravestone of Marie Bogert Van Dien. The Van Dien stele, however, was probably carved by Uzal Ward, a noted craftsman from Newark, NJ.
