The Rocky Mountain News (Daily) November 16, 1875
Mrs. Clara E. Roselle, nee Miss Lessig, died at her residence on Curtis street, in this city, Sunday morning at 9 o'clock, and was buried yesterday.
Deceased was one of the most estimable and amiable ladies who graced our social and church enterprises for several years past. She first came to Colorado, for her health, in 1870, next year returning to her home in Pennsylvania, quite convalesced from bronchial disease. Soon the climate of the Keystone state caused a relapse, and she again sought the sanitarium of Colorado. For a time here she suffered constantly from her ills, but still kept up a cheerful, hopeful heart, and never abated her zeal, efforts and aids in the church, Sabbath school and society. Recently the deceased had been residing in California, whence she returned here this season, and lived up town with a sister (Mrs. Dooley) and neice. The funeral yesterday was attended by the many friends and acquaintances of General Lessig's family.
