John Frederic Krill, 91, of 332 Sherman St. died Friday at Longmont United Hospital. Mr. Krill was born 31 March 1891 at Edgerton, Ohio and moved to Colorado in 1916 where he married Elizabeth M. Rule on 17 August 1920. He was a graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College in Ohio and also obtained a master's degree from the University of Denver and did post-graduate work at the University of London in England. An educator in Longmont Public Schools for more that 30 years, he also served as a school principal in Otis, Littleton and Burlington (CO) before moving to Longmont in 1924. He won an Outstanding Teacher Award while teaching in Longmont. He served in the Quartermaster Corps of the U.S. Army in France during World War I. He also served as Sunday School superintendent and Boy Scout leader.
He is survived by his wife; one son; 2 brothers, Paul and Walter; one sister, Hulda; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
