SERVICES HELD FRIDAY FOR MRS. MARS, 89
Services for Margaret C. Mars, a retired businesswoman, were held Friday at 11 a.m. from the chapel of McClain-Hays Funeral Home.
The Rev. Bill McAlilly and the Rev. Bob Wilburn officiated. Burial was in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Mars, 89, died Wednesday.
She was a native of Moss Point and had been a resident of Philadelphia for the past 69 years.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Mars, who was a partner in Mars Brothers and a charter member of the Philadelphia Rotary Club.
Survivors include one sons, Charles Mars of Philadelphia; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a niece and a nephew.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Breland, Herbert Garrett, Larry Eakes, Dan Mars, Sonny Steel, and Jimmy Rea.
