Obituary - Memorial services were held in Chicago Sunday for Robert H. Baxter, 53, formerly of Cincinnati. Mr. Baxter died in Chicago Friday after a short illness. Mr. Baxter was president of Baxter and Walker, manufacturers representatives in Chicago. He is survived by his wife, Ellen: two sons, Robert H. Jr., Ann Arbor, Mich., and Richard, Chicago: a daughter, Mrs. Frederick Gillman, Detroit: a sister, Mrs. Charles A Richards, Glendale, Ohio and mother Mrs. Eva H. Baxter, Cincinnatti. Added note: He was a veteran of WWII - and son of Willard Washington Baxter and Eva Henderson Baxter.

There was also a handicapped daughter Laurie born about 1958. She died sometime after at about age 8 or 9. Believe she died in Illinois and lived in a home. Information from Mary Baxter Richards, a cousin

Eva May Henderson Baxter sent a copy of his obituary to her brother ( my father) at time of death with a letter. Copy still in hand. Eva May was visiting brother at time when call came in on birth. She rushed home.
