JEFFERSON - Bondaletta "B" Akers, 93, of Jefferson died Saturday at Albany Care Center. Born in Leon, Iowa, she was the daughter of Jesse and Ella (Martindale) Adair. She married Dosse G. Akers Dec. 27, 1945, in Leon. Mrs. Akers had worked in Iowa and Michigan. She and her husband moved to the Jefferson area in 1946, living and working at the Riggle Mink Farm. Mr. Akers died earlier. Mrs. Akers was a homemaker. She enjoyed years of pleasure tending her flower and vegetable gardens, and she like knitting and crocheting. Surviving are stepdaughter Beverly Godman of Phoenix, brothers Milo Adair of Lovilla, Iowa and Wilbur Adair of Des Monies, Iowa, sister Jean Thompson of Albany; and many nieces and nephews, including three nieces who cared for her, Janet Woodard and Shannon and Andrea Williams. Mrs. Akers had several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sons Robert Adair and Roy Don Johnson; brothers Virgil, Fred and Coye Adair, two grandsons and a great-grandson. At Mrs. Aker's request, there will be no services. Inurnment will be at Willamette Memorial Mausoleum. Contributions in her name may be made to a charity of the donor's choice and sent in care of Fisher Funeral Home, P. O. Box 156, Albany, Ore. 97321.
