OBIT of Houston Chronicle on Sept.20, 1964: Ex-Streetcar Motorman Charles Watson, 79, Dies. Charles Edward Watson, 79, of 6624 Ave. F. once a Houston streetcar motorman, died Saturday in a Houston hospital. A lifelong Houston resident, Watson retired from the Houston Transit Co., now Rapid Transit Lines, in 1952 after 42 years of service. He operated a streetcar before they were replace by buses more than 20 years ago. Since retirement from the company, he has been a reserve deputy sheriff and a night watchman. Watson leaves his wife, Frances, a daughter, Mrs. Vivian Burgess of New Philadelphia, Ohio; five brothers, two sisters and four grandchildren. Services will be held at 3:45 p.m. at the Boulevard Funeral Home's Harrisburg chapel. Burial will be at South Memorial Park Cemetery.

Family History: says Uncle Charlie was a member of a Houston Liars Club. Dad told me that Charlie could really MAKE UP some grand whoppers/stories.
