The four-year-old niece of French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, little Pauline was the daughter of the Emperor's brother Joseph Bonaparte (a resident of nearby Bordentown, NJ c.1816) and his American mistress, Annette Savage. The little girl's dove-topped marble monument bears the inscription "Erected by a bereft Mother In the Memory of a beloved Child..."
