Alice was very close to her sisters throughout her life and was someone others turned to whenever they needed help. She had a beautifull singing voice and began singing specials in church even before she started kindergarten. She continued to sing in church until just a few years ago.
She was married to Charles Edward Sharp and two sons were born to this union. Alice was a wonderful Christian women and when she was in her 40's she decided to attend college in Vermillion, SD. While studying she continued to volunteer at church and play the piano for song service. Although she was concerned about her ability to handle college, she eventually graduated with honors.
When the family moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, she began a teaching career in special education reading and elementary math. She taught in several schools, both public and Catholic and loved every minute of it. Even when she worked in the tougher neighborhoods -- to her teaching was a service to God and she always did her best.
Charles had his first heart attack in 1975 and until his death in 1991, Alice was a supportive and devoted wife and caregiver. After his death she remained in Lincoln for a few years before moving to Sun City, AZ in 1996. She was active in church choir and women's ministry and loved to socialize with friends.
