GAIL died unexpectedly Saturday morning, in her home, she was the daughter of the late Ivan R. and Cathryn (Deihl) Overcash.

In her earlier years she had worked at the former Stanley Co. and Knouse Foods of Chambersburg and last worked for 19 years as a custodian at Hollowell Brethren In Christ Church near Waynesboro.

She had attended Hollowell Brethren In Christ Church, where she had taught Sunday School and helped with the Vacation Bible School. Gail enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

She and her husband, Paul H. Berger, were married Aug. 5, 1950, in Hagerstown, MD, by Rev. G. I. Rider.

They parented four children two daughters Sandra K. (Morris) Harmon, Sharon A. (Dana) McCartney, two sons, Dennis R. (Ruth L. Black) Berger and David M. (Ruth I. Stuller) Berger, all of Waynesboro, sister Shirley I. Reisher, brother, Melvin T. Overcash, 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers.
