PERRY HERALD, January 21, 1954: Hazel E. Totten, 57, of Silver Springs died at the Community Hospital, Warsaw on Thursday, January 14, 1954. She was born on June 26, 1896 in Bath, the daughter of Hiram and Susan Burley Gould. January 29, 1917 she married George Totten who survives with two sons, George Jr. and Warren, all of Silver Springs; three daughters, Mrs. Sam Zingerella of Mt. Morris, Mrs. Chester Bzduch of Perry, Doreene H. Totten of Silver Springs; three brothers, Charles and Henry Gould of Bath, Francis of Arkport; four sisters, Jennie Fenton of Bath, Eunice Hunter of Naples, Esther Fairchild of Syracuse, Doris Gould of Hammondsport; and six grandchildren. Mrs. Totten was a member of the Perry Baptist Church. Services were held from her Silver Springs home on Sunday with Rev. Fred W. Church officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, Silver Springs.
