Mabel passed away at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility in the Town of Plymouth. She was born in the Town of Plymouth to William and Clara (Freyburg) Waterman. She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1919. She then attended Plymouth Business College and had worked as a secretary at the Plymouth Phonograph Company.

On September 16, 1922, she married Edwin Truttschel in the Town of Plymouth. The couple lived and Farmed in the town of Lima until moving to Plymouth in the early 1950s. Edwin preceded her in death March 5, 1959

She was a member of the Falls Community Church in Sheboygan Falls and was a member of its Women's Group. She had been employed as a Nurses Aid at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility for many years, retiring in 1963.

Mabel had been active in the Plymouth Hospital Auxiliary, the AARP and, with her husband, had been a member of the Sheboygan County Farm Bureau.

She had also been a member of the Sheboygan County Historical Society.

Survivors include two daughters, Doris Buckman of Plymouth, and Carol (Robert) Burger of Middleton and one son, Richard of Plymouth; seven grandchildren, Donald (Carla) Buckman of Sheboygan Falls, David (Charlene) Buckman of Plymouth, Daniel Buckman of Milwaukee, Kim Truttschel of Dana, IN, Jeffrey Truttschel of Plymouth, Paul Burger of Dallas, TX and Maria Burger of Phoenix, AZ, and four great-grandchildren, Matthew, Mark, Melissa and Rebecca Buckman.

She was preceded in death by one son, Herbert; one grandson, Dennis Buckman; one brother, Ralph Waterman; one sister, Norma Bach; and two daughters-in-law, Shirley (Fritz) Truttschel and Anna (Ritt) Truttschel.

Funeral services were held at the Wittkopp Funeral Home in Plymouth.
