She attended Banner District School and graduated from Waldo High School in 1923 and completed a teaching training course in Plymouth. She was employed at Stolper Bros. Department Store, the National Tea store and was a bookkeeper at Midwest Creamery, all in Plymouth and was employed at Cleveland Container Corp., prior to retiring.
On October 2, 1926, she married Warren U. Wightman in Sheboygan Falls, and they made their home in Plymouth.
She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Plymouth, a member of the Loyalty Chapter, No. 118, Order of Eastern Star and the Plymouth Chapter of A.A.R.P.
Mrs. Wightman is survived by her husband, and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth LeMahieu, Town of Holland and Mrs. Edith Beisser, Sheboygan Falls. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert and Elmer Hoffmann.
Funeral services were held at Wittkopp Funeral Home in Plymouth.
