Gratz (Junior) Carden, age 68 of Lake City, passed away November 1, 2010 surrounded by his loving wife and daughters.

Jr. served 2 years in the army, and then made a career of 26 years in the coal mining business.

His hobbies included gardening, building birdhouses, fishing, lawn work, and spending time with family. Jr. is preceded in death by his father, Luther Sharp, his sister Alice Faye Alexander, and his stepfather Robert Burks.
