She was born in Manchester, Wisconsin, April 24, 1871, the daughter of Daniel T. and Hulda McNutt Hockert. She lived in Ottumwa 51 years.
She was a member of the Willard Street Methodist church.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Elme LaPointe of Ottumwa; three nephews, Orle and John LaPointe, both of Ottumwa and Clarence LaPointe of Humboldt Kansas; two nieces, Mrs. Mae Pelzer of Venice, Florida and Mrs. Leora Walker of Ottumwa, and 20 grandnieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, two nieces and one nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Johnson Funeral chapel. The Rev. Cecil Latta pastor of the Willard Street Methodist church will officiate. Burial will be in Round Point cemetery in Agency township.
