Madeline Roberta (Arthur) Weeks, 89, of Wichita Falls, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2010.

The memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, in the sanctuary of Lamar Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Roberson, pastor, officiating. Private interment, at Crestview Memorial Park, is under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

Madeline Roberta (Arthur) Weeks, was brought into this world by a country doctor in the living room of her parents' farm house in Southland, Garza County, Texas and twenty years later, she married the love of her life, Glynn Weeks, in the same room of the same house. They proceeded to celebrate sixty-seven anniversaries together before he passed away in 2008.

A graduate of Wayland Baptist Junior College in Plainview, Tex., Madeline loved to read, cook and sew in her spare time. She worked full-time at Domore Furniture Company and Burgess Industries, as well as helping Glynn manage Glynn Weeks Music Company along with his other endeavors. They worked very hard together, loved to laugh together and truly loved together. He preceded her in death in 2008. She was a member of Lamar Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Tops Club and the Desk and Derrick Club.

Survivors include her daughter, Glynda Brumley of Wichita Falls; son, Garland Weeks of Lubbock; grandson, Charles Featherston and wife, Jennifer of Burkburnett; three great-grandchildren, Megan, Zane and Zack Featherston all of Wichita Falls; and one great-great-granddaughter, Maya Marie.

Serving as pallbearers will be: D'Nard Arthur, Lynvol Arthur, Chester Cox, Wayne Horton, David Mitchell and Teddy Jack Wright.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010, at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

For those desiring, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls or to Senior Care Health and Rehabilitation of Wichita Falls.
