MRS. J. EDWARD SULLIVAN

Mrs. Johanna Lane Sullivan,
wife of J. Edward Sullivan, who
died Thursday afternoon at her
home, 10 Randall Avenue, follow ­
ing an extended illness, was born
In Birchardville, Pa., January 24,
1896. She had resided in Nor­wich for
the last 19 years.

The daughter of Jeremiah and
Mary Buckley Lane, she was
united in marriage to Mr. Sullivan
on September 22, 1919, and had
resided here since that time.

Besides her husband, Mrs Sul­livan
is survived by a daughter, Mary E Sullivan,
and a son, John E. Sullivan, four brothers:
Wil­liam H Lane of Binghamton;
George, Leo and Edward Lane ot Birch-
ardville, Pa., and several nieces
and nephews.

She was a past president of
the American Legion Auxiliary
and a charter member of the
Eight and Forty. She was a member
of St. Paul's Church and of
the League of the Sacred Heart.
For several years, Mrs Sullivan
was active in the women's bowl­ing
league of the Norwich Elks Club.
