Hilda B. Werthmann, 88, of Economy, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, died Friday, January 18, 2002, in Sewickley Valley Hospital. Born July 28, 1913, in Beaver Falls, a daughter of the late Charles and Anna J. Brydebell Behringer, she was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Baden. She was a retired registered nurse with Armco Steel and was a graduate of Sewickley Valley Hospital School of Nursing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Werthmann, in 1984; a grandson, Daniel L. Sehnke Jr., and a brother, Carl Behringer. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Daniel Sehnke, North East, Pennsylvania; a granddaughter, Colleen and her husband, Robert Vignere, Warren, Pennsylvania; a great-grandson born after her death, Daniel Vignere; a sister and brother-in-law, Anne and Charles Staniland [Charles is now deceased], Baden, and several nieces. Friends were received January 21, 2002 from 2 to 4 andd 6 to 8 p.m. in the JOHN SYKA FUNERAL HOME INC., 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, where a service was conducted Tuesday, January 22, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jon Bustard officiating. Entombment followed in Sylvania Hills Mausoleum.
