Nicknamed "Kit Kat" by her family, "Kitty" by her classmates and teachers and "Cathy" by her Grandpa Wesley, Catherine was a joy and dearly loved by all who knew her. She was born with cerebral palsy.
In June 2008, Catherine received her high school diploma from Key Center in Springfield, Virginia.
Family and friends describe Catherine as a little ray of sunshine, uplifting, happy, funny, loyal and giving. She cared deeply for her family and friends, never failing to let them know how much she loved them. Though her life was brief, she inspired many, including her sister Emily, her mother and her step-sister Cassandra, to work with individuals with Special Needs. Catherine was constantly smiling and giggling each and every day. She enjoyed watching football games and it didn't matter who was playing...as long as it was a lively game! Her family and friends feel blessed to have been touched by her loving spirit...and everyone will remember how she loved to sing!
She leaves her father, Jeffrey Templeton, of Des Moines, Iowa; her mother and step-father, Beverly and LTC William Dasch, Jr., of Manassas, Virginia; her sister and brother-in-law, Emily and Noah Bragg, of Locust Grove, Virginia; her half-sister, Brandy Post, of Des Moines, Iowa; her step-siblings, William, Cassandra and Nicholas Dasch, of Manassas, Virginia; her grandmother, Helen Wesley, of Alexandria, Virginia, her step-grandmother, Alice Dasch, of Catonsville, Maryland and many friends. Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Raymond Wesley (buried nearby), Leonard and Betty Templeton and her step-grandfather, William Dasch, Sr.
