Funeral Services Are Held Monday For Edelstein Man
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Edelstein Congregational church for J. Lee McWhorter of Edelstein, 80. Burial was in the Blue Ridge cemetery.
Mr. McWhorter, a retired Edelstein mail carrier, died in his home last Thursday night.
The son of Walter F. and Roanna Davis McWhorter, he was born in Dodd Ridge, W. Va., December 16, 1872. He was united in marriage to Cora Baggs in Peoria county February 15, 1899. She preceded him in death.
He is survived by two daughters, Miss Lois and Miss Doris McWhorter; and a brother Henry, all of Edelstein.
