Miss Mabelle G. Fry passed away
at her home in Star City Sunday afternoon.
April 9, after an illness of
about three months from a complication
or diseases. When she first
look sick It was not thought to be
serious and she seemed to be recovering
nicely until about a month
ago when she became worse. Two
specialist were called in consultation
and as a final resort she was
taken to Rochester hospital and an
Xray taken to see if an operation
would bring relief but nothing could
be done and she was brought home
last Thursday and lived until Sunday
afternoon.
Maybelle was born September 7,
1891 at Royal Center and practically
all her life has been spent at Star
City, her parents having moved here
when she was a child.
Maybelle for a number of years
was employed as telephone operator
in which capacity she made many
friends. During the war she was engaged
in war work at Hammond and
for the past two years she was as-
sistant to Dr. K. E. Johnston at his
office.
She was a member of the Methodist
church and of the Star City Rebekah
lodge.
Maybelle possessed a sweet disposition.
In her childhood which grew
with her growth and ripened into
the purest womanhood in her mature
years.
Besides the parents, Charles Fry
and wife, she leaves two brothers
Russel and Rolland, and four sisters,
Mrs. Hale Fahler, Mary and Jeanette
and Burnette.
Funeral service were held from
the M. E church Tuesday afternoon
at 1 o'clock conducted by Kev. Roy
Hicks assited by Rev. H. F. Bulger
with interment in the Kline ceme-
tery near Royal Centre.
