Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today in the Hedge-Lewis Chapel at Webb City for George W. Ferguson, 68, a former well known Heoshoan. Burial was in the Neosho IOOF Cemetery.
Mr. Ferguson died at his home in Webb City from natural causes.
The Ferguson family will be remembered by by old time residents of Neosho. Both George Ferguson and his father were employed by the Kansas City Southern Railway, the former as a roadmasters's clerk and the latter as a foreman of the extra gang.
Since leaving Neosho Mr. Ferguson has been doing railroad work of different kinds.
He is survived by one daughter, one son, a sister and a brother.
