Bonnie Marie Viator, 66, died Wednesday, November 3, 2010, in her residence.

She was a lifelong resident of Vinton. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Vinton and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. Bonnie enjoyed gardening, crafting, and spending time with with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters, Angelina Broussard and husband, Kirk of Vinton, Carrie Ancelet and husband, Jerry of Hackberry, and Pamela Primeaux and husband, Dwight of Hayes; one brother, Gary Newton of Vinton; nine grandchildren, Tabitha, Elijah, Jessica, Victoria, Michael, Kateln, Jordan, Joe, and John Paul; a special niece that was like her daughter, Laura Perry; and other nieces and nephews, Dana, Scott, and Chotsie.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dale J. Viator; her parents, Bernice and Joe Newton; a brother, William Allen "Bill" Newton; and a grandson, Everet Broussard.

Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 6, in First Baptist Church of Vinton. The Rev. Gil Broussard will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Visitation is from 4-9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday, all in the church.
