After an illness of several months, Mrs. Peter Jager passed away at her home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, January 29th, 1932, at the age of 96 years [sic] and 9 days.

Miss Bessie Bruins was born at Alta, Wisconsin, January 21, 1875 [sic].

She was united in marriage to Peter Jager December 28, 1904, at Sioux Center. They farmed in this vicinity for many years.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband and five children: Mrs. Al Wellinga, of Orange City; Alice, Herbert, Wilma, and Niel; two sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Al Vander Berg of Sioux Center, Mrs. Wm. Mouw of Sioux Center, Mr. Eldriet Bruins of Orange City, Mr. Bruins of Sioux Center, and Mrs. Jno. Holland; also a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church at Orange City, Rev. Strakes officiating.
