Summerville- Emory Alexander, 49, 6 Hilltop Dr, Summerville, died at 4:55 p.m. Sunday. Mr Alexander was born in Chattooga County April 18, 1932. He was a veteran of the Korean War, a member of American Legion Post 129, and a self-employed painter.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs Willene Alexander, Summerville: his mother, Mrs Bell Tolbert Alexander, Summerville; one daughter, Miss Dawn Alexander, Marietta; one son, Barry Alexander, Atlanta; one step-son, Eddie Newsome, Tifton, two sisters, Mrs Betty Bucklew, Forest Park, and Mrs Sarah Phillips, Summerville Rte 2, one brother Ernest Alexander, Lyerly, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Rev Johnny Bryant officiating. Interment will be in the Alexander Cemetery.
