Funeral services for Ruffin Wells Arp, 83, of Ropesville will be held Monday, November 8, 2010 at 2 p.m. in the Franklin-Bartley Chapel with burial following in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. this evening at Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home.
Ruffin was born June 4, 1927 to Albert and Ruby Arp.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Doris Arp; sisters, Margie Towry and Jean Neighbors; brother, Ernest Arp; and daughter-in-law, Rhonda Arp.
He is survived by his wife, Alva Arp of Ropesville; sons, Winfred Arp and wife, Nina of Levelland and Russell Arp of Christoval; daughters, Roma Arp of New Braunfels and Karen Arp of Lubbock; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Martha Crump and husband Bill, Louise Vest and Tommie Berryhill and husband Ernest; brother, Joe Arp and wife Lenna Bill.
