Isaac was born and raised near Bertrand, Mi. Isaac married Harriet Rosbrugh 14 June 1868 in Edwardsburg, Mi. They moved near Swan Lake, Mi in 1873 and ran a resort near the lake. Isaac was also part owner of the Cheshire Cheese factory in Chicora, Mi. He had 10 kids. He was also a good carpenter and built houses in the neighborhood. He sold his property after his wife was diagnosed with cancer and they moved to the town of Allegan, Mi. where she spent her last few years. He lived with his son John near Chicora for his remaining last years and died at the home of his daug.
