John J. Adleman Sr., 73, of 640 Fremont Street, Kiel, died Monday, April 20, 1992, at his home.
He was born March 28, 1919, at Rockford, Ill., son of the late Emery and Ruby (Higley) Adleman.
He attained the rank of corporal during World War II, serving in the Army as a veterinarian assistant in China/India/Burma Theatre. He worked as a master electrician all his life in the Illinois area. He was a past member of the Kiel VFW.
Survivors include six sons, John Jr, (Mary), of Kiel; William E. (Patricia), of Sheboygan; Allen H., of Fox Lake; Theodore, of McHenry, Ill.; Adrian (Susan), of Sheboygan; James C. (Karen), of Howards Grove; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, one grandson and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m., on Thursday, at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, with the Rev. Albert K. Borns, officiating. Burial will be in Kiel City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home in Kiel from 4 p.m., Thursday, until the time of services.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
