Allan A. Arnold, 52, of 618 St. Paul St., Kiel, died Friday morning, Dec. 30, 1994 at Calumet Medical Center, Chilton, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born Jan. 6, 1942 in Sheboygan, a son of Louise Steinhardt Arnold and the late Eugene Arnold. He was a 1960 graduate of Kiel High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the U. S. Air Force, serving from 1960 to 1964. On Sept. 23, 1961, he married Elsie Wendling at S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel. He was employed at HUI for the past 20 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and son. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, deer hunting and raising flowers and vegetables.
He was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Kiel; a past Little League coach in Kiel; a member of the Kiel Bean Bag League for many years; and a member of the Kiel Fire Department for 23 years, serving as assistant fire chief since January 1990. He also served on the Kiel Ambulance Service and was a member of the Highland Swampers Deer Hunting Club.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie; his mother, Louise Arnold; three daughters, Rogene (Kieth) Raquet and Valerie, all of Kiel, and Christine of Kenosha; two grandchildren; three brothers, Robert (Ruth) of Plymouth, and David (Lizbeth) and Rodney, all of Kiel; and three sisters, Kathy (Ken) Werdeo of Elkhart Lake, Judith (Roger) Schneider of Vincennes, Ind. and Laurie (Steven) Krebsbach of Elkhart Lake. He was preceded in death by his father and infant brother.
Funeral services were held Monday at St. Peter UCC with the Rev. Raymond C. Coombs officiating. Burial will be in the Kiel City Cemetery.
