DELORIS M VORPAHL

Deloris M. Vorpahl, 73, of Collins, died early Sunday morning, Nov. 26, 1995 at her home. She is the former Delores Valleskey, born March 6, 1922 in Collins, daughter of the late Gustave and Clara Baryenbruch Valleskey. She attended Collins Grade School and was a 1940 graduate of Valders High School. On October 13, 1945 she married Norman Vorpahl in Collins. On Oct. 14, 1995 they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. She worked for the Collins Post Office for over 20 years, serving as postmaster for nine years and retiring in 1991. She was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Kiel; the Collins Homemakers; and was a past member and leader of Rockland Sunshine Club for 30 years.
Survivors include her husband, Norman; one son, Gary (Barbara) of Fort Atkinson; one daughter, Barbara (Jerry) TeVrucht of Tullahoma, Tenn.; four grandchildren; five brothers, Orville (Geraldine) Valleskey of Mesa, Ariz., Milton (Valerie) Valleskey of Brillion, Harold (Charlotte) Valleskey of Manitowoc, Bob (Olive) Valleskey of Kiel and Kenneth (Elsie) Valleskey of South Bend, Ind.; one sister, Dorothy (William) Habermann of Valders; a special niece, Diane (David) Haese of Reedsville; nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 28, at St. Peter UCC, with the Rev. Raymond C. Coombs officiating. Burial will be in the Kiel Cemetery.
