Mrs. Ada Coggins, 99, died at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 11, 1973 at the home of her daughter in Nettleton after a sudden illness. A native of Lee County, she was a lifelong resident of the Nettleton area. She was a housewife and a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Nathaniel Coggins who died in 1930. Services were Oct. 12 from New Chapel Methodist Church. Burial was in the New Chapel Church Cemetery with McGrath-Rasberry of Tupelo in charge.

Survivors included four daughters, Mrs. Pansy Riley, Mrs. George Burgess, Mrs. Mitchell Lindsey and Mrs. Merea Black, all of Nettleton; one son, Ruble Coggins of Nettleton; 17 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.

-Children: Edna Gertrude, Eppie Lavele, Charlie Mae, Pansy, Noel, Ruble, Annie Byrd, Fleeta Payne, Maria Agnes.
