Wesley D. Brown, 98, 1205 S. Church St., died Sunday evening in a local hospital after a long illness.
He was born and reared in Concordia, Kan. and worked as a stage coach driver in Boulder, Colo. He married Alice Mae Bergison in 1903 in Concordia and farmed near Greeley, Colo. until 1942.
He moved to Azuza in 1945 and to Lodi in 1953.
Mrs. Brown died in 1964 and he married Letha G. Vest in 1965. She died in 1971.
Brown was a member of the Lodi Oddfellows Lodge 259.
He also attended the English Oaks Seventh Day Adventist Church.
He is survived by two sons, Albert Brown of Lodi and Paul Brown of Galt; a daughter Lolita Hunter of South Gate; seven grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 13 great great grand-children.
Services will be Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the Lodi Funeral Home Chapel, Elder Don Mulvihill of the Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating. Interment will be in C.M.P. under the direction of the Oddfellows Lodge. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon today.
