LYONS — Mrs. Sophia Ann Baldwin, 64, died unexpectedly Thursday night in the home of a friend. Born Feb. 14, 1902, in Ellinwood, she married Ray Baldwin there Sept. 29 ,1923. They lived on a farm northwest of Lyons until 25 years ago when they moved into town.
Member: Evangelical Church, Ellinwood; Pythian Sisters and American Legion Auxiliary both of Lyons.
Survivors: The widower; daughter, Mrs. Treva Schmidt, Pasadena, Calif.; sisters, Mrs. Lena Willenberg, Pratt; Mrs. Etta Woods, Truth or Consequences, N. M.; Mrs. Rose Root, Wichita; brothers, Henry Lanterman, Great Bend; August and John Lanterman, both of Ellinwood; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday, Crawford-Miller Mortuary, Lyons; Rev. Stanley Tyner. Burial: Lyons Cemetery. Call: 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
