Doc M. Borders, 83, of Route 4, Newnan, died Friday, December 8, in Coweta General Hospital, following a brief illness. A native of Carroll county, Mr. Borders had made his home in the Arnco community for the past 39 years. He was a retired textile operator. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillie Ayers Borders; daughter, Mrs. Viola Morris, Arnco; son, B. M. Borders, of Brunswick; daughter-in-law Mrs. R. K. Borders, Carrollton; grandchildren, Robert Borders, Charlotte, N.C., Ronald Borders and Richard Borders, both of Brunswick, and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, the Rev. Travis Eidson, and the Rev. Willard Dean officiating. Pallbearers were Grady Lewis, Marvin Borders, Ernest Borers, Steve Borders, Solon Borders, and J. Borders. Interment was in Oak Hill cemetery.
