From Patsy Belle Franks:

IN MEMORY

On Thursday, April 13, 1939, as the sun was going down and the shade of darkness was coming over the death angel came into the home of Aunt Josie Harrison and carried her to anotherworld, a place where there is no sorrow, no more sad parting.

Aunt Josie was 82 years, 7 mos. and 8 days old.
She had been in bad health for some time. She was a devoted mother, a kind loving aunt. She was the mother of four children, two dead and two living. She has 6 grandchildren living and one dead. She has nieces and nephews and a great many friends to mourn her loss. We know that all was done for her that loving hands could do. It was so hard to give her up. She will be missed so much in her home. A place is vacant there that no one else can ever fill.

She was laid to rest April 14 in the Brown Cemetery.

Our hearts are sad and lonely
Since from us you went away.
Some day we'll all be with you,
Then forever we will stay.
God only knows how we miss you
Since you went away.
Weep not, dear loved one, she has
to pay a debt that we have all got
to pay soon or late. We cannot
say, but she will be there ready
meet us any day.
Her niece, Mrs. L. H. Franks
