Mrs. Mary Cook, 50, of 1614 E. Adams St., died at 1:15 p.m. Oct. 9, 1956 at her residence. She had been in ill health for the last year.

She was born at Corapolis, Pa., April 9, 1906, the daughter of the late Elias and Josephine C. Stroble.

She had been a resident of Springfield most of her life.

She was married to David E. Cook, Sept. 10, 1927, in Springfield.

Mrs. Cook was a member of the Fifth Presbyterian church.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia A. Pickett and Mrs. Marjorie E. Cook [sic, Krell]; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Sirtout and Mrs. Helen Gortz; three brothers, Edward E., Alexander E. and Frank N. Stroble; and two grandchildren, Mary Alice Pickett and David Boyco, all of Springfield.

Remains were at the Kirlin & Egan funeral home.

Services were at the Fifth Presbyterian church.

Burial was in Oak Ridge cemetery.
