Bill Arnold, age 81, of Indianapolis, died Friday morning in Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis,

Born September 12, 1929 in Bartley, Nebraska, he was the son of Haven and Hazel (Farrar) Arnold. He was a career U.S. Army veteran was a civil service employee during his reserve military duty. He retired from Ft. Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis. He liked bowling, fishing, tending to his flowers and garden and riding his motorcycle.

He received the Holy Ghost in 1970 and served as an evangelist in the Apostolic Pentecostal church. He was a member of Calvary Tabernacle in Indianapolis.

He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law; Ben and Mary Arnold, of Fortville, Mark and Laura Miller, of Carmel and Terry and Patti Vogel, of Stafford, Virginia; one brother, Roy Arnold, of Alabama; one sister, Norma Morgan, of Alaska; seven grandchildren, Christina Huling, Mark Miller, Jr., Tobias Miller, Jessica Wardwell, Jasmine Arnold, Benjamin Arnold, and Haley Miller and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Erma (Kelly) Arnold and four brothers and sisters.

The funeral service will be at 1PM Wednesday at Day Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Mooney officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens where the Veterans Honor Guard will perform military rites. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8PM.
