Funeral Will be Tomorrow at 10:30 AM at Union Church


Mrs. Louisa Blackburn died yesterday evening at her home near Blosser following an illness of several months.

Louisa Nye Blackburn was born April 17, 1857 and was married in 1876 to J. W. Blackburn, who died several years ago.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Dyer and Mrs. Mabel Sailor, who live on farms near the Blackburn home, and by a son, Clarence Blackburn, who with his family, made his home with the mother. Several grandchildren survive, also one sister, Mrs. J. F. Allen, 511 East Wood, the only surviving member of a large family of children.

Mrs. Blackburn was a member of the Presbyterian Church to which she has been loyal through the years. She possessed a winsome, lovable nature, which won for her a legion of friends who today, with the family, are grieved because of her death.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday morning at Union Church, and burial will be at Union Cemetery beside the husband.
