James Raymond Gregory, son of Margaret and Raymond Gregory, was born in Easton, Ill., on September 10, 1924. While in infancy his parents moved to Philadelphia, Penn., where he grew to manhood. He attended the public schools there, and was graduated from the Upper Darby High School last June. He was blessed with a talent for music and played first violin in both the Sunday school and the high school orchestra.

In April 1935, he took the Lord as his saviour and became a faithful member of the Drexel Hill Baptist church. Jimmie's friendly disposition enabled him to make many friends both in Illinois and Pennsylvania. He is survived by his parents and one sister, Patricia Ann.

Last services in his memory were conducted from the Walkers Grove Baptist church on Wednesday, February 17th, 1943, at 2 p.m. in charge of Rev. W. A. Ogden. Two sacred songs were rendered during the services by Mrs. Mabel Thomas and Mrs. Hazel Asay, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. John Munsch.

Casket bearers were: Albert Krause, August Krause, Julius Krause, Charles Smith, Lenoard Keith, Dwight McClelland, Hermie Keith.

The floral offerings were cared for by Mrs. Albert Krause, Mrs. August Krause, Mrs. Julius Krause, Mrs. Charles Smith, Mrs. Leonard Keith, Mrs. Dwight McClelland, Mrs. Hermie Keith, Mrs. Edna Elmore, Mrs. Eldon Bastien, Miss Betty Bastien, Miss Arizona Keith, Miss Emily Jean Smith, Miss Juanita Jones.

Internment was made in Walkers Grove cemetery with Niederer Memorial Service in charge.
