Allen G. Wavrunek, 63, of Two Rivers, died unexpectedly Friday morning, June 18, 2004, at his residence. Allen was born Feb 28, 1941, in Milwaukee, a son of the late George and Mabel (Sinkula) Wavrunek. He has been a resident of the rural Mishicot area since moving here with his family at the age of 6 months.

Allen attended school in Mishicot and was a 1958 graduate of Mishicot High School. On April 12, 1969, he married Leah Kahrs at St. Mark Catholic Church in Two Rivers. Together, the couple farmed in the Mishicot area until the present time. He also worked for a brief time at Hamilton Industries. Allen was a longtime member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot.

Survivors include his wife, Leah; two sons & a daughter-in-law, Michael & Lynette Wavrunek, Francis Creek, and Randall Wavrunek, Two Rivers; three daughters & two sons-in-law, Lisa Wavrunek, at home, Jodie & Sylvester (Sal) Parma, Jr. and Julie & Marvin Schleis, all of Kewaunee; three grandchildren, Miranda & Jacob Wavrunek, and Taylor Schleis; two brothers & sisters-in-law, Ronald & Doris Wavrunek, Manitowoc, and Gerald & Gay Wavrunek, Two Rivers; six sisters and five brothers-in-law, Shirley and Jerry Hein, Manitowoc, Beverly & Milton Fonferek, Green Bay, Bernice & David Hagenow, and Judy & Michael Schleis, all of Two Rivers, Kathleen Wavrunek, Oshkosh, and Suzanne & Greg Riederer of Cato. He is further survived by two brothers-in-law, Fr. Lee Kahrs, DePere, and Louis (Marlene) Kahrs, Two Rivers; one sister-in-law, Lois (Charles) Bonnefoi, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives & many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Roy & Stella Kahrs; and two nieces.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Allen's brother-in-law, the Rev. Lee Kahrs. Burial to follow in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Mishicot.
