Ida Marie Schmidt 83, of Springfield died Sunday at St. John's Hospital.
She was born July 22, 1914, in Springfield, the daughter of Frank and Olga Arnold Reichle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Schmidt, in 1988. Mrs. Schmidt retired from Pillsbury Mill after 27 years of service. She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church and the Pillsbury Retirees Club.
Survivors: a son, Donald L. Williams of Springfield; a daughter, Olga M. Hitt of Springfield; a stepson, Loren Schmidt of Springfield; a stepdaughter, Barbara Jane Sherrock of Williamsville; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Piggott of Sherman; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rochester Cemetery, the Rev. Julie Sherrock officiating.
Bisch and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
