He had lived in LaPlace for the past 22 years. moving there from Lake City.
He was born in Cerro Gordo on April 12, 1884, the son of Andrew and Sara Dobson
Ankrom.
On Nov. 25. 1939, he was married in Rockville, Ind., to Irene Griswold, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons Charles and Louis; two brothers Don and Lynn; a sister, Lena Fonner; and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, two sisters and two brothers.
