Liberty Sailor Gary Blanchard Services Monday

Services for Gary Ray Blanchard, 20, of 3279 Ross Parkway, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl T. Blanchard, who died Friday, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Planeview Southern Baptist Church. Burial will be in Lakeview Gardens Cemetery.

Born in Wichita, he was a crewman aboard the USS Liberty and was killed in the June 8 Israeli attack. He will be flown home accompanied by an honor guard Thursday afternoon.

Survivors include a brother, Danny, at home; two sisters, Faith, at home, and Mrs. Glenda Chavec, Wichita: and two grandmothers, Mrs. Earl Blanchard, Wichita, and Mrs. Florence Robinson, Huntsville. Ala.
